The Central Bank has updated tariffs for mandatory civil liability insurance for owners of hazardous facilities. They will be effective from September 21, 2025.
Thus, the lower limit of the tariff corridor for hydraulic structures, petrochemical and mining enterprises has been reduced by 25%. For some types of power plants, as well as facilities for the storage of mineral processing waste (tailings dumps) and mine construction sites - by 75%. For all other types of dangerous objects - by 50%. For facilities with pressurized equipment and coal mines, the lower limit of the tariff corridor remains at the same level. The upper limits of insurance rates do not change.
"The recalculation of tariffs takes into account the current dynamics of unprofitability and more accurately reflects the level of risk of an accident," the Central Bank said.;
