The Federal Antimonopoly Service has convicted several Russian companies of violating antimonopoly laws and creating a cartel in the field of railway electrification totaling 5.6 billion rubles. This is reported by the service.
The agreement specifically concerned the implementation of infrastructure projects, including on the Baikal-Amur and Trans-Siberian Railways.
According to the agency, four companies participated in the cartel: "Materials of the Contact Network", "Contact Network of Railways", "Railway electrification" and The Magistral Scientific and Production Association. An appropriate antimonopoly case has been initiated against them.
