The Cabinet of Ministers approved the concept for the development of the gas engine fuel market until 2035

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a concept for the development of the gas engine fuel market, calculated until 2035. Its main goals are to increase the number of vehicles using gas-powered fuel, create a modern refueling and service infrastructure, and improve the environmental situation.

The Government has identified a number of segments of vehicles and equipment that will be converted to gas-powered fuels to achieve significant economic and environmental benefits in terms of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Among them: automobile, railway, marine and inland waterway transport, agricultural machinery and equipment, municipal and road construction machinery, specialized equipment designed to perform work in quarries and mining operations.

The concept provides for measures to expand domestic demand for natural gas, accelerate the creation of a new segment of the economy and improve the environment in cities.
