By the end of 2025, large families living in the Far East will have the opportunity to take out a preferential mortgage on the secondary market. This was stated by Alexey Chekunkov, head of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Chekunkov, the preferential mortgage rate for large families will be 2%.

The idea to extend the Far Eastern and Arctic mortgages to the secondary housing market and to large families, regardless of the age of the parents, was proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum. He stressed the importance of making this decision, as new housing is not being built in some areas.
