About 770,000 foreign citizens face expulsion from the Russian Federation after September 10.

There are currently about 770,000 foreign citizens living in Russia who have not settled their legal status of residence in the country. One third are women and children. Such figures were announced by the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Gorovoy, Interfax reports.

"The period that is provided to these citizens to bring their stay here to a legal course is limited to September 10," Gorovoy said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.

According to Gorovoy, after this date, for those who do not settle their legal status in the territory of the Russian Federation, there will be legal consequences, up to and including expulsion from the country.
