Some of the budget debts were written off to 9 regions

The government has written off some of the debt on budget loans to several other regions of the Russian Federation. We are talking about entities that have implemented infrastructure projects. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Bashkiria, Ingushetia, Udmurtia, Khakassia, Astrakhan, Kostroma, Penza, Saratov and Tomsk regions were among them. They were written off up to two thirds of the debt on budget loans totaling 25.5 billion rubles.The cancellation of part of the debt became possible due to the fact that these regions allocated funds for the implementation of national projects, the development of support settlements, the replacement of elevator equipment in the MKD and the improvement of housing and communal services, relocation from dilapidated housing and the renewal of urban transport.

As Mishustin noted, writing off part of the debt will ease the debt burden on the budget system of these regions and improve the quality of life of their citizens.
