Ex-vice-governor of the Belgorod region Bazarov was detained in the case of defensive structures.

Vladimir Bazarov, former vice-governor of the Belgorod Region and now acting Deputy Governor of the Kursk Region, was detained in the Kursk region. This was announced by Alexander Khinshtein, Acting Governor of the Kursk region.

According to Khinstein, law enforcement agencies are currently conducting investigative actions. He explained that the detention of his deputy was connected with the investigation of a criminal case on the construction of defensive structures in the Belgorod region, where Bazarov had previously worked. Until February 2025, he was in charge of construction and transport issues in the region.
