Seismologists have recorded tremors of magnitude 6 off the coast of Russia near the Caspian Sea. According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake was located at a depth of 12 km, at a distance of 41 km northwest of Derbent.
The earthquake affected many settlements located on the territory of Dagestan. The tremors were felt by residents of Makhachkala, Kaspiysk, Derbent. According to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are no casualties or damage.
