Hungary and Slovakia, which stopped receiving oil from the Russian Federation due to another attack by Ukraine on the Druzhba oil pipeline, appealed to the European Commission to force Ukraine to stop attacking the fuel infrastructure facility. This is stated in a corresponding letter sent to Brussels on behalf of the foreign ministers of the two countries.
The authors of the letter emphasize the need for immediate action to stop attacks on critical energy infrastructure. It was noted that the ongoing strikes raise serious concerns of the two countries about the growing risks to their energy security.
