The owner of the tanker Volgoneft-239 is appealing against the recovery of 35.5 billion rubles.

The shipowner of the tanker Volgoneft-239, which crashed near the Kerch Strait, has filed a complaint against the decision of the Krasnodar Regional Court to recover 35.5 billion rubles in compensation for environmental damage at the request of Rosprirodnadzor. The relevant information appeared in the file of the Fifteenth Arbitration Court of Appeal.

The court accepted the complaint of the company for production. The trial is scheduled for September 2.

Earlier, the Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Territory fully satisfied the claims of Rosprirodnadzor against the owner of the tanker, Volgoneft, to recover the amount of damage caused to the environment as a result of the oil spill.
