Cement consumption in Russia will decrease by 10% by the end of the year%

By the end of 2025, the reduction in cement consumption in Russia may amount to 10%. This forecast was announced by Daria Martinkina, executive director of the Soyuzcement industry association, TASS reports.

According to Soyuzcement, since the beginning of the year, cement production in the Russian Federation has decreased by 9.3% (to 33.4 million tons), and consumption by 9.6% (to 34.9 million tons).

lt;p> is an analytical company "SEE Pro" at the request of "Soyuzcement" conducted a study, and a forecast of cement consumption in the Russian Federation for 2025-2027 was prepared. For 2025, analysts predicted a decrease of 6-12% (in the range of 58.5-62.9 million tons), but Soyuzcement believes that the decrease is likely to be 10% or more compared to the previous year, Martinkina said.

In 2026, according to the forecast of "SEE Pro", the volume of cement consumption in the country may decrease by 5.6%, to 55.2-63.7 million tons, in 2027 - by 4.4%, to 52.8-66.6 million tons.

The expert expressed hope that the Russian government will support the construction industry and the dynamics will change for the better.
