Russian Post was fined 230.6 million rubles for unfinished modernization of post offices

The court fined 230.6 million rubles to the Russian Post. The reason for the initiation of an administrative case was the violation by the organization of the conditions for the provision of budgetary investments. This was reported by the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.

According to the joint venture, funding was allocated from the budget of the Russian Federation to the Russian Post for the modernization of post offices located in rural areas and hard-to-reach places in 2023 and 2024. According to the results of the audit, as of January 1, 2024, out of 1,282 post offices, the Russian Post had upgraded only 767 branches, and as of January 1, 2025, 664 out of 773 branches.
