From January to July 2025, retail vodka sales in Russia fell by 4.2% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 41.36 million decaliters.Cognac sales decreased by 9.8% to 7.12 million dal, while distilleries, on the contrary, increased by 15.3% to 10.23 million dal. Other spirits showed an increase of 4.3%, reaching 8 million dal. As a result, the total sales volume of alcohol stronger than 9% decreased by 1.3% and amounted to 66.78 million dal.
During this period, alcohol sales (except beer, cider, poiret and mead) decreased by 12.1% to 114.66 million dal. Sales of low-alcohol beverages fell by 88.9% to 1.09 million dal.
Grape wines sold worse by 1.5% (32.16 million dal), liqueur wines by 11.8% (673.8 thousand dal). Sparkling wines lost 3% of sales and amounted to 11.38 million dal.Drinks with ethyl alcohol from grapes decreased by 11% (803.7 thousand dal), and without it by 61.6% (141.7 thousand dal). Fruit alcoholic beverages decreased by 74.8% (1.63 million dal).
