Since the beginning of the year, the volume of cargo turnover at Russian seaports has amounted to 498.8 million tons, which is 4.6% less than in the same period of 2024, according to information published on the website of the Association of Commercial Seaports (ASOP).

In particular, the volume of transshipment of bulk carriers amounted to 242.2 million tons, which is 6.4% less than in the same period last year. Transshipment of bulk cargo decreased by 2.8% and amounted to 256.7 million tons.

Export shipments totaled 391.6 million tons, which is 5% less than in the same period last year. Import shipments totaled 24.2 million tons, transit shipments 43.1 million tons, which is 7.3% more than last year. Coastal cargo totaled 40 million tons, which is 13.9% less than last year.

The cargo turnover of the seaports of the Arctic basin decreased by 7.7% and amounted to 50.8 million tons. The cargo turnover of the ports of the Baltic basin decreased by 2.3% and amounted to 158.4 million tons. The cargo turnover of the ports of the Azov-Black Sea basin decreased by 11.4% and amounted to 144.5 million tons. The cargo turnover of the ports of the Caspian basin decreased by 30.4% and amounted to 3.9 million tons. The cargo turnover of the ports of the Far Eastern basin increased by 3% and amounted to 141.2 million tons.
