By the end of July, inflation in Russia was 8.8%. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. At the same time, by the end of the year, the Central Bank expects inflation at the level of 6-7%.

Putin called the reduction in inflation "an important achievement."

"Many experts talk about the risks of economic hypothermia and even recession, but the Central Bank monitors and evaluates the situation, does not see any big risks," the president noted.
