The Cabinet of Ministers suspended the floating rates of duties on sunflower oil and meal

Floating rates of duties on sunflower oil and sunflower meal have been suspended in Russia. The relevant decision was made by the Government of the Russian Federation to support domestic sunflower producers and processors ahead of the autumn field work.

This measure will allow manufacturers and processors to increase the volume of shipments of products to foreign markets.

The Government of the Russian Federation established floating rates of export customs duties on sunflower oil and meal in 2021 in order to protect the domestic market from unjustified price increases. To date, the domestic market is fully supplied with sunflower oil and the suspension of floating rates will not affect the availability of sunflower oil for Russians.
