Starting next month, Gorky Automobile Plant will switch to a four-day work schedule. The reason was the market decline. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the company.
"Given the high Central Bank rate and the unavailability of financial instruments for the purchase of cars, the market decline in the first half of the year was almost 40% in the segment of medium-duty trucks, 30% in the segment of light commercial vehicles and 60% in the segment of buses," the representatives of the automobile plant explained.
Under these conditions, the introduction of a shortened working week allows the company to save jobs, adapt the production program to the market situation, and organize an even production load.
