Steel output in Russia in June decreased by 7.4% year-on-year

By the end of June, Russia produced 5.6 million tons of steel. Compared to the same period last year, output decreased by 7.4%. This is stated in the report of the World Steel Association.

Overall, steel production in the country has decreased by 5.6% to 34.8 million tons since the beginning of the year.

China has become the world leader in manufacturing. In June, China produced 83.2 million tons of steel, while smelting decreased by 9.2% year-on-year. Next are India — 13.6 million tons (+13.3%), Japan — 6.7 million tons (-4.4%), the USA — 6.9 million tons (-4.6%).
