The production of mineral fertilizers in Russia increased by 5.5%

According to Rosstat, in the first half of 2025, Russia recorded an increase in the production of mineral fertilizers. The total output increased by 5.5% compared to the same period last year and reached 33.7 million tons.

In terms of individual types of fertilizers, the production dynamics is as follows: the production of nitrogen fertilizers increased by 3% to 15 million tons, the production of phosphorous and compound fertilizers increased by 8% to 9.8 million tons, and the production of potash fertilizers increased by 7% to 8.9 million tons.

At the same time, in June 2025, there was a decrease in production compared to May. Fertilizer output decreased by almost 11%, amounting to 5.1 million tons. However, in annual terms, the June indicator showed positive dynamics: production increased by 4% compared to June 2024.
