Hungary has initiated negotiations on the construction of an oil pipeline with Serbia to organize the supply of Russian oil. The trilateral consultations were held in the format of a videoconference with the participation of representatives of Russia.

This was announced by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto, who posted photos from the talks. The Foreign Minister was in the ministry building in Budapest and communicated with Serbian and Russian specialists via video link.

In his message, Szijjarto stressed: "Today we are holding talks with our Serbian and Russian colleagues on the construction of a new oil pipeline connecting Hungary with Serbia."

The names of the negotiators from Moscow and Belgrade were not disclosed.
