The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation does not plan to completely cancel visas with China, but will soften the conditions of group visa-free trips. The new version of the agreement will increase the length of stay of Chinese tourists and reduce the minimum number of people in a group from 5 to 3. Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, told TASS in an interview at the SPIEF.

On July 7, a tourism commission will be held in China to coordinate the text of the document. A ready-made version of the agreement is expected by July 8, after which there will be a formal signing, which is traditionally timed to coincide with important state events.
