Trade turnover between Russia and Turkmenistan increased by 21%

In the first quarter of 2024, the trade turnover between Russia and Turkmenistan increased by 21.4%. These figures were announced by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev on the sidelines of the SPIEF.

Khusnullin noted that relations between the two countries are developing in terms of partnership and trust. To increase the volume of mutual trade, the parties are developing an intergovernmental action plan until 2027. New routes are also being considered, for example through Turkmenistan to China and other countries.

During the meeting, the representatives of the countries discussed the details of cooperation in trade, industry, energy, agriculture, culture, education, and also outlined plans for the further development of bilateral relations.
