Nabiullina named the conditions for the emergence of moderate rates in the economy

The head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, named the conditions for the emergence of moderate interest rates in the economy at SPIEF 2025.

She made a corresponding statement at the session "Supply–side Economics - a growth strategy in the face of modern challenges." Moderate rates will appear along with a decrease in inflation. Nabiullina noted that there will be no moderate rates without a decrease in the rate of price growth.

"As inflation decreases, there will be moderate rates, without reducing inflation, there will be no moderate rates," said the chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
