Russia has suspended the sale of tours to Israel and Iran

The sale of tours to Israel and Iran has been temporarily suspended in Russia amid the outbreak of armed conflict in the Middle East. Russian tour operators have adopted this measure after receiving a corresponding recommendation from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) reports.

According to the PCT, there are currently few cancellations of travel packages to these countries, as destinations are not widespread. The PCT did not provide exact figures, noting only that cancellations of tours to these countries number in the dozens.

The host companies of tour operators in Israel and Iran are in touch with the tourists from the Russian Federation who remain there. According to the PCT, at the time of the escalation of the conflict, there were about 500 Russian tourists in both countries.
