Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin warned of a possible reduction in housing construction in Russia by up to 30% by 2027. According to him, there is a halt in new construction projects, which can lead to a significant decrease or even a complete absence of new housing.

The main problem is the lack of funds from developers to form escrow accounts due to the difficult mortgage lending situation. As a result, companies are delaying the implementation of projects that have already begun, postponing them to the next year.

To overcome the crisis, the authorities are counting on the effect of the abolition of mortgage fees, which can stimulate the growth of mortgage lending and help the industry survive a difficult period.
