The Working Group on Housing for Orphaned Children has submitted three bills to the State Duma to protect their housing rights. This was announced by Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Anna Kuznetsova.

The first draft law expands the possibilities of obtaining housing through a housing certificate. Currently, the earnings of an orphan spouse are not taken into account when calculating family income.

The second bill protects housing purchased with a certificate. Such housing cannot be sold or used in other operations for three years.

The third bill protects the rights of children whose parents did not have time to get housing and died defending their homeland in the free zone. This bill will help preserve the right to housing for the children of heroes.

The initiatives were supported by relevant departments and representatives of the factions.
