About the situation on the global gas market

© Региональные новости
Global gas markets have their own key price targets. There are several benchmarks, two of them are the main ones.:
1. Henry Hub – American gas price benchmark.
The Henry Hub is a major gas distribution hub in Louisiana (USA), serving as the main benchmark for natural gas prices in North America. Quotes are generated on the New York Stock Exchange (NYMEX), where gas is traded in British thermal units (BTU).Current price: $3.6 per million BTU.
Important: the indicated value reflects the net raw material price without taking into account the costs of liquefaction, transportation and regasification. The actual price for end users in the United States is significantly higher.
2. TTF is the leading European gas benchmark.
Title Transfer Facility (TTF) is a virtual trading platform that is a key indicator of gas prices in Europe. The main auctions are held at DUTCH TTF NATURAL GAS, where the annual turnover exceeds 20 trillion cubic meters.
Dynamics: prices show growth against the background of market conditions.
Gas futures trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
American gas: available for trading in the form of futures.
European Gas (TTF): from April 8, 2025, futures under codes NG-11.25 and similar have been launched on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
Henry Hub and TTF remain key benchmarks for the global gas market, and the expansion of the range of futures on the Moscow Exchange increases the availability of these assets to Russian investors.
