
Putin questioned the need for a truce with Ukraine amid terrorist attacks in the regions

Russia is ready to exchange prisoners of war with Ukraine. This was stated by Vladimir Medinsky, assistant to the President of the Russian Federation.
"We plan to transfer 1,200 people from each side. This will be the largest exchange since the beginning of the conflict. We are ready to start on June 7, 8 and 9," Medinsky said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin and members of the government.He also noted that the number of participants is still being clarified, but priority will be given to the wounded, seriously ill and prisoners of war under the age of 25. "Let us remind you that on May 25, the final stage of the prisoner exchange took place according to the formula "1000 to 1000", as it was decided in Istanbul on May 16. According to Alexander Fomin, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, all agreements have been fulfilled.
