Starting from June 4, a pilot project will be launched in Russia to restrict access to phishing sites and applications disguised as official resources to steal passwords and personal data.
The goal of the project is to develop a mechanism for detecting and blocking fake Internet resources, the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation reports.
Within the framework of the pilot, mechanisms for interaction between state and non-state structures will be worked out, as well as proposals for legislative consolidation of these mechanisms will be prepared. The project participants will be the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB and other departments, as well as the ANO "Coordination Center of the national Internet domain&"and the Research Institute "Integral".
The project will end on March 1, 2026 and will increase the security of citizens on the Internet.
