The Government of the Russian Federation has prepared amendments to the Tax Code designed to support the tourism sector. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

In particular, the zero VAT rate for hotels and other accommodation facilities will be extended until 2030, and the threshold for VAT exemption for catering organizations will be raised from 2 to 3 million rubles.

The decisions taken will strengthen the development of the industry and give it an additional positive impetus, which will also affect related segments represented by small and medium-sized businesses.
