The Russian hotel market may show record growth in 2025

In 2025, it is planned to introduce about 11 thousand new rooms in high-quality hotels and apart-hotels of 3-5 star categories in Russia, which is 7% higher than last year and may become a new historical maximum.

In 2024, more than 80 high-quality hotels opened, increasing the supply by 6%. The current figures are comparable to the record year of 2018 (the period of the FIFA World Cup).

At the moment, 152 thousand high-quality rooms (13% of the total fund) are operating in Russia. Distribution structure: 52% - four-star hotels, 25% - three-star, 23% - five-star. In the first quarter of 2025, about 2,000 high-quality rooms were commissioned, with the highest dynamics in the Krasnodar Territory and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.

It is expected that in 2025-2026, the annual commissioning of high-quality rooms will amount to 10-12 thousand with steady growth of 7% annually.
