Direct flight from Russia to Myanmar temporarily stops its work

The direct flight from Russia to Myanmar, en route Yangon - Mandalay - Novosibirsk, is temporarily shutting down. This was announced by Stanislav Taravkov, commercial director of Tolmachevo Airport, in the TASS press center.

According to him, despite attempts to support the carrier through promotional campaigns of travel organizations, it was not possible to achieve sufficient flight occupancy. As a result, all flights to Myanmar were cancelled in the spring-summer schedule. An additional factor influencing the decision to stop flights was the recent earthquakes in Myanmar.

At the same time, Tolmachevo Airport expects to resume flights to Myanmar in the autumn-winter schedule. Note that the Novosibirsk -Myanmar route was the only direct flight connection between Russia and this Asian country.
