By the end of March 2025, 1.08 million new credit cards were issued to Russians, which decreased by 53.7% year-on-year (compared to 2.32 million credit cards in March 2024). This is reported by the National Bureau of Credit Histories.

The most noticeable decrease in the number of new credit cards issued was recorded in the Kemerovo Region (-59.3%), Perm Krai (-59.1%), Tyumen (-57.7%), Irkutsk (-57.5%) and Rostov (-56.7%) regions, Moscow (56.1%) and St. Petersburg (52%).
