246 servicemen returned to Russia from Ukrainian captivity

On April 19, an exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine took place through the mediation of the UAE, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation informs.

246 servicemen returned to Russia from captivity. A similar number of Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoners of war were transferred to Ukraine.

The servicemen returned to Russia through the territory of the Republic of Belarus. Along the way, they received the necessary psychological and medical assistance. All fighters have been given the opportunity to contact their relatives.

In the near future, they will undergo medical examination and rehabilitation in hospitals of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
