FSB officers prevented a terrorist attack at a military gathering point in Novorossiysk

In the Krasnodar Territory, FSB officers detained an SBU agent who was preparing a terrorist attack in Novorossiysk. This is reported by the agency.

The detainee turned out to be a citizen of Belarus born in 2000. In December 2024, he was recruited by the Ukrainian special services through Internet messengers. For a fee, he collected information about the locations of ships of the Black Sea Fleet and military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces in the Krasnodar Territory to commit terrorist attacks.

"Following another instruction from the curator, he seized a ready-to-use improvised explosive device weighing 2.5 kg from a cache to blow up an administrative building in Novorossiysk," the FSB said.> In his confession, the young man said that he was preparing a sabotage operation against a military gathering point using an improvised explosive device. A criminal case was opened against him under the article "Preparation for the commission of a terrorist act."".
