According to a study by the newspaper, 66.8% of Russians planning to buy real estate postponed the purchase for 1-2 years in anticipation of falling prices and lower loan rates. At the same time, 33.2% intend to make a deal in the near future.

Among those who postponed the purchase, 48% expect lower real estate prices, and 51% expect lower interest rates. In relation to mortgage rates, 27% agree on a rate above 10%, 44% consider a range of 6-10%, and 28% hope for a rate below 6% (which is unlikely).

The waiting periods for a rate cut were distributed as follows: 45% are ready to wait 1-2 years, 37% - 3-5 years, 6% - up to a year, 13% - more than 5 years. It is noteworthy that the willingness to purchase directly depends on the amount of savings: among those who have the opportunity to exchange with an additional payment, 40% are ready for the transaction now, while only 24% of those who have accumulated less than 20% of the initial payment.
