The EU has postponed the adoption of a roadmap for phasing out purchases of Russian LNG amid market uncertainty related to new US trade duties in general and European-American trade relations in particular. This was reported by the Reuters news agency, citing sources in the EU.
According to sources, a number of European states did not support the abandonment of Russian LNG due to the lack of alternative supply channels. The EU can no longer rely on American fuel after the decisions of Trump, who uses energy resources as a bargaining chip in trade relations with Europe.
