Rospotrebnadzor has sent an official request for information confirming the presence of narcotic substances in the composition of weight loss products. This is reported by TASS with reference to the agency.

We are talking about the popular drug "Molecule" and "Molecule plus". The reason was the publication of "Izvestia" articles about the freely available sale of weight loss drugs with the dangerous substance sibutramine.

- In connection with the information that appeared in the media that the weight loss drug "Molecule" and "Molecule plus" was advertised on social networks, in which the substance sibutramine was found, Rospotrebnadzor addressed the editorial office An official letter has been prepared demanding that all available documents confirming this information be immediately provided, including the name of the legal entity and/or individual entrepreneur selling unsafe products on the territory of the Russian Federation," the Rospotrebnadzor request says.

According to "News&", laboratory studies of the drugs&Molecule& and &Molecule Plus& revealed the presence of the drug sibutramine in their composition, which creates a feeling of false satiety in humans. Its dosage in the preparation is 16.7 mg per capsule, which exceeds the permissible maximum. This substance is used to treat obesity, but the sale of drugs without a prescription is prohibited. At the same time, the "Molecule" can be freely purchased online.
