Trade turnover between Russia and Belarus increased by 6%

The Prime Ministers of Russia and Belarus, Mikhail Mishustin and Alexander Turchin, held talks in Moscow. The visit of the Belarusian prime minister was the first foreign one after his appointment.

The parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the meeting of the presidents on March 13. Economic cooperation is showing growth: trade increased by 6% to 4.5 trillion rubles, 95% of payments are made in national currencies.

The key areas of cooperation include: industrial cooperation, the development of artificial intelligence, work with big data, and the creation of digital ecosystems. A common educational space is being formed.

In 2025, the Intervision competition will be held in Moscow, where Belarus will receive an invitation to participate. Special attention is paid to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in May 2024 as a common sacred holiday of the two peoples.
