The court announced the verdict of Marine Le Pen in the case of misuse of funds of the European Parliament

A Paris court has sentenced Marine Le Pen to 4 years in prison (2 years suspended, 2 years with an electronic bracelet) in a case of misuse of European Parliament funds.

She is also prohibited from participating in public elections for 5 years, which excludes her participation in the presidential elections of 2027.

Le Pen left the courtroom before the verdict was read out.
