The government is launching a new subprogram, Development of technologies for the production of medicines for veterinary use, for which it is planned to allocate 16.4 billion rubles. Of these, 4.4 billion rubles will be allocated from the state budget, and 12 billion rubles will be raised from extra-budgetary sources.

The main goal of the subprogram is to create competitive domestic veterinary drugs and provide them to the livestock industry. Within the framework of the program, new vaccines and veterinary drugs will be developed and put into commercial production for various types of animals: pigs, birds, cattle, as well as for artificially farmed fish.
