The downward trend in rates continues in the Russian rental housing market - for the sixth month in a row, there has been a drop in the cost of rental housing. According to the Yandex Rent and Cyan services, the median cost of long-term rentals in cities with millions of residents in March 2025 was 34,000 rubles per month, which is 2.3% lower than in February and 17.3% less than the peak the values of September 2024.
The most significant decrease in rental rates over the past month was recorded in major cities: Volgograd (-30.6%), Moscow (-28.4%), Samara (-27.4%), St. Petersburg (-25.4%) and Rostov-on-Don (-20.8%).
