In 2025, the average check on marketplaces is expected to decrease by 8.4% to 1.3 thousand rubles. This is happening against the background of rising costs for sellers and changes in the structure of purchases, reports "Kommersant" with reference to experts. Small and medium-sized businesses show a slowdown in turnover growth to 6%, which is below the inflation rate.
Sellers are facing an increase in operating costs: the commission of marketplaces will grow by 10-20%, the costs of storage, acceptance and logistics of goods are increasing. In response, about 19% of sellers plan to compensate for the decrease in the average receipt by increasing the prices of goods.
The situation is reflected in the franchising market: demand for opening pick-up points decreased by 14% year-on-year and by 23% relative to 2023. Specifically, interest in Wildberries franchises fell by 19.6%, and Ozon by 12%.
However, not all segments show negative dynamics: the average receipt in the food category is projected to grow by 10% and in the segment of machinery and electronics by 24%.
