The State Duma passed a bill on credit holidays for SMEs and the self-employed in the first reading. Holidays are provided for up to 6 months every 5 years.

Credit size limits:

microenterprises - 60 million rubles.
small enterprises - 400 million rubles.
medium-sized enterprises - 1 billion rubles.
self-employed - 10 million rubles.

During the holidays, the borrower pays only interest at the Central Bank rate of + 1%. Does not apply to syndicated loans and government programs.

-The indefinite right to credit holidays will provide significant support to SMEs in need of debt relief.By the second reading of the bill, we will discuss the criteria for granting credit holidays so that enterprises that really need it can apply for them," Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, commented on the bill.
