From March 26 to April 1, the government plans to absorb bank liquidity in the amount of 513 billion rubles, which is significantly higher than the figure of the previous week. This will be achieved by increasing the balances of funds in the accounts of the expanded government in the Bank of Russia, follows from the forecast published on the website of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. As a result of the operation, balances on correspondent accounts of banks with the Central Bank will decrease by 191 billion rubles, and the volume of cash in circulation will decrease by 65 billion rubles.

The Central Bank of Russia, in turn, plans to provide banks with liquidity in the amount of 995 billion rubles through its operations, including regulation of mandatory reserves. Taking into account the existing gap between the supply and demand of bank liquidity, the Central Bank has set a weekly limit on market operations to absorb liquidity in the amount of 320 billion rubles.
