Starting from April 1, 2025, social pensions will be indexed in Russia, informs mk.ru./p> The indexation coefficient will be 14.75%. The increase in social pensions will affect about 5 million people.

A social pension is awarded if there is a lack of work experience or the required number of individual retirement points. Its size is significantly lower than the amount of the insurance pension.

Such a significant indexation was influenced by an increase in the cost of living. According to the law, the pension cannot be lower than the subsistence minimum of a pensioner in the region of residence.
