The Federal Antimonopoly Service has developed draft orders for state regulation of fares for passengers under 18 years of age, which will increase the mobility of teenagers within the country and will contribute to solving family support tasks.

In particular, it is planned to establish a year-round discount on travel for passengers aged 10 to 18 years, regardless of the form of education and without presenting a certificate from an educational institution. Such passengers will only need to have an identity document with them when boarding the train. The discount for them will apply to tickets in shared and reserved cars - in the regulated state segment.

Children under 5 years old can currently be eligible for free travel without providing a separate seat. Children under the age of 10 are eligible for a 35%-70% discount on the adult ticket price, depending on the class of carriage and train.
