Ukraine has expressed its readiness to support the US proposal to introduce a temporary ceasefire for a period of 30 days. This was stated by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Ermak following the talks in Jeddah today, March 11.
According to the statement, the ceasefire can be extended if the parties reach a mutual agreement. However, the key condition is the simultaneous acceptance and fulfillment of similar obligations by the Russian Federation. Information about the agreements was confirmed by the Reuters news agency, publishing a joint statement from the United States and Ukraine. The document emphasizes that the temporary ceasefire is aimed at reducing tension and creating conditions for further negotiations. It is noted that Ukraine can cease fire from the moment Russia agrees to similar actions. There is no official Russian reaction to the proposal yet.
