By the end of 2024, the trade turnover between Russia and the Netherlands decreased to $ 5 billion, which is 26.5% lower than in 2023. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Russian ambassador to The Hague, Vladimir Tarabrin.
He also noted that five years ago, in 2019, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 41.4 billion dollars.
Tarabarin called the systematic destructive activity on the part of the Dutch authorities the main reason for the decline in turnover.&"restricting the export of goods to Russia, as well as imposing an embargo on the import of Russian energy resources (except LNG), which once formed the foundation of trade and economic relations.
The Ambassador noted that since the beginning of its work, The Hague has been at the forefront of the movement against Russian assets in the EU. Those caught circumventing sanctions are punished with real prison terms, and the Dutch themselves seek to worsen the working conditions of Russian companies remaining in the kingdom. They are subject to an unspoken ban on renting premises, providing trust services, and so on.
