In January 2025, the federal budget received 54.7 billion rubles from the sale of Russian assets by foreign companies. This is stated in the materials published on the portal "Electronic budget".

85.2% of the total amount of gratuitous receipts to the federal budget from non-governmental organizations accounted for the share of proceeds from business sales.

Earlier, the Russian authorities increased the minimum discount for transactions involving the sale of assets in Russia by foreigners from 50% to 60%. According to the requirements, 25% of the total transaction value must be transferred to the budget no later than the first month after the conclusion of the agreement.
